Happy birthday to me. I had an opportunity to visit Chicago to celebrate two glorious occasions: my birth and Yo La Tengo at the Vic Theater. Before the show, I had the pleasure of seeing a piece by an artist I’ve admired for so long, Martin Creed. With an incredible presence, this piece rotated 360 degrees. Neon, huge, and silent. Spinning. Nonstop. It was a beautiful trip.
